Take a downtown alley...
You know, one that runs behind things; collecting weeds, trash, and graffiti. Then, spend a day cleaning it (removing said weeds, trash, and graffiti). A day later, turn that alley - or those streets or city blocks - into a bright outdoor art gallery by painting murals!
Yep, that's Arts in the Alley! So far we have taken on alleys and blocks in Shockoe Bottom, Church Hill, and Greater Fulton in Richmond, Virginia (as well as an alley we cannot pronounce in Beijing, China), and we're currently planning even more alleys in more places. Come lend a hand!
